ChezScheme: returns a new, uninterned symbol whose name is string. Chez uses a reader syntax #: to denote uninterned symbol (like CommonLisp).

STk, STklos, Chicken, MzScheme, SISC: returns a new, uninterned symbol whose name is string. No special external representation for uninterned symbols.
